Garden Decking

We believe that used in the right position decks are a practical, exciting and aesthetically pleasing part of any garden scheme. The success of a deck relies on good design and the use of complimentary materials. Formerly unusable space in your winter garden or perhaps a particularly boggy area can be transformed into a dining or patio area.  While the flexibility of using decking can allow the enjoyment of your favourite spot whether it be a sun trap, a hidey hole or the stunning view.

All our decks are individually designed to suit the needs of each site and then constructed in our work shop or on site.  All the timber is pressure treated prior to installation and can be finished using oil, stain or left to weather naturally.

At Sandstone we work with air dried Oak, Green Oak, (for a rustic finish,) traditional softwood and forest managed hardwoods such as Iroko.

Raised decking can be particularly useful on a sloping site. Spanning the slope allows the whole space to be more usable and a simple balustrade around the decking will define the space and provide a safe edge.
When covered by a gazebo or pergola, free standing decking can provide a dry dining/seating area in a totally different part of your garden.

When the decking is recessed to the same level as the surrounding paving a virtually seamless transition from inside to outside space can be made,.
